North Carolina Family Law Attorney - Rob Zaslow

Attorney Robert D. Zaslow

Robert D. Zaslow has been a family law attorney for three decades. Starting with
Allen County Blackhoof Area Legal Services Association in Lima, Ohio in the
early/mid 1990s, and thereafter moving to Connecticut and practicing in courthouses
across the state, he now has moved to North Carolina as he and his wife have made
the decision to follow their dreams to relocate here in 2023.

The cornerstone of Attorney Zaslow’s view that the law is meant to help and guide
people in challenging times was first confirmed during his time with Legal Aid in Lima,
Ohio. This has been the guiding principle for Attorney Zaslow ever since. Moving to
Connecticut in 1994, he clerked for judges of the Hartford Superior Court (Criminal,
Family, and Civil divisions), and thereafter started his private practice. Attorney
Zaslow’s practice encompassed family law litigation, parent coordination, mediation,
arbitration, Collaborative Divorce, mediation, arbitration, and representing children as
counsel or as a Guardian Ad Litem.

In addition to his practice, Attorney Zaslow was an Executive Member of the Family
Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, including serving as Chair of the
Section in 2013-14. He was also a Board Member of the Connecticut Chapter of the
Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (CT AFCC), a past board member of
the Hartford County Bar Foundation, a member of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, a
member of the Collaborative Divorce Group of Western Connecticut, and a past
member of the Collaborative Divorce Lawyers Association of Hartford County.
Attorney Zaslow was requested to serve – and was honored to serve – as a Special
Master pre-trying cases for the Family Division of the Danbury Superior Court, the
Hartford Superior Court, the New Britain Superior Court, as well as for the Regional
Family Trial Docket in Middletown and the Early Intervention Program (EIP) in
Hartford.

Attorney Zaslow is proud to have been recognized as a Super Lawyer for family law
practice in Connecticut from 2017 to his departure in 2023.
Robert D. Zaslow earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of
Connecticut at Storrs, and his juris doctor from the Claude W. Pettit School of Law at
Ohio Northern University.
